This Amazing Chocolate Cake is so creamy and soft. You will need only 30 minutes to make it. I think this recipe will be your family favorite cake.
What you will need:
For the cake:
4 cups light brown sugar
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 1/2 cups dark, unsweetened cocoa powder
4 tsp baking powder
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp salt
2 cups buttermilk or sour milk*
2 cups strong black coffee
1 cup vegetable oil
2 tsps vanilla extract
For the frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/3 cups dark, unsweetened cocoa powder
2/3 cup milk
6 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsps vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
How to make:
To make the cake:
Preheat the oven to 350 F. Butter 9×13 inch pan, with parchment paper line the bottom and dust with flour.
In a bowl pour the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa, soda and salt and with electric mixer beat until creamy.
Make a well in the center of the mixture and add in the eggs, buttermilk. Whisk to combine.
Next put the oil, coffee and vanilla and beat until everything is incorporated.
Between the two pans divide the butter and bake for 30-35 minutes.
Before frosting cool the cakes completely.
To make the frosting:
Melt the butter and add the cocoa powder. With electric mixer beat until smooth.
Slowly add the powdered sugar and the milk. Mix until light and fluffy.
Stir the salt and vanilla.
For the sour milk: in the milk add 2 tbsps of vingar and set aside until it’s ready to use.
Serve 24 pieces.
