What you will need:
For the brownies:
8 large eggs
4 cups dark chocolate chips
3 cups all purpose flour
2 Tablespoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 cups Dutch process cocoa
4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups butter
For the hot fudge sauce:
4 teaspoons vanilla extract
6 Tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 1/3 cup + 4 Tablespoons heavy cream
12 oz. dark chocolate
Makes 4 cups
Optional: Vanilla ice cream
How to make it:
For the brownies:
Preheat oven to 350F. and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a saucepan over medium heat melt the butter, after that add the sugar and stir to combine.
Heat until very hot. In the mixing bowl transfer the mixture.
Stir in the baking powder, cocoa, salt and vanilla. Than add the eggs and beat with electric mixer until smooth.
Add the flour while mixing until combined.
Let the batter cool slightly and stir in the chocolate chips.
Into the prepared pan spoon the butter.
Than place into the preheated oven for 28 minutes bake the brownies.
After that remove them and let let cool for 5 minutes.
Before cutting cool completely.
For the hot fudge sauce:
In a large heavy bottom saucepan hit brown sugar, half half of the chocolate, salt, cocoa powder and the cream.
Bring to a boil and stir constantly, set up to medium low and stir and cook for 5 minutes.
From the heat remove the saucepan and stir in the butter and remaining chocolate until smooth.
Stir in the vanilla until it’s well combined.
Let cool.
