This is a rich, creamy and moist one-bowl chocolate cake recipe. You will need only a few minutes to prepare the batter. You can frost with your favorite chocolate frosting.
Ingredients:
2 cups white sugar
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Flour and grease two 9-inch round pans.
Using an electric mixer, in a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa, salt and baking soda. Add in the milk, vanilla, oil and eggs and continue mixing on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in the boiling water last.
The batter will be thin. Into the prepared pans, pour evenly the batter.
Bake for 30-35 minutes in the preheated oven.
Let cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes. Then, to cool completely remove to a wire rack.
