What you will need:
For the cake:
4 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 cups unsweetened cocoa powder
4 cups sugar
2 cups vegetable oil
2 cups hot coffee
2 cups milk
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
For the Frosting:
2 cups milk
10 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
How to make:
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
In a large bowl, put together the dry ingredients. After that add the milk, oil and coffee and using an electric mixer beat for 2 minutes.
Add vanilla and eggs and continue beating 2 more minutes. Wait for the butter to be thin.
Pour into a floured and greased 9″ x 13″ pan. Bake for about 45 minutes.
For about 15 minutes cool in the pan and than completely cool on racks.
Meanwhile make the icing. In a saucepan put together the flour and milk and cook until thick over low heat, constantly whisking.
Cover and put in fridge until chilled.
In a medium bowl combine sugar, vanilla, butter and shortening and beat with electric mixer until creamy.
Add flour mixture and chilled milk and continue beating for 10 minutes.
Frost cooled cake.
