Moist, delicious and rich black magic chocolate cake perfect for any occasion! When it comes to chocolate cake i think this one is king.
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups white sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup strong brewed coffee
1 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Flour and grease 9×13 inch pan or two 9-inch round cake pans.
In a large bowl combine together sugar, baking soda, flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder. Make a well in the center.
Add in coffee, oil, eggs, vanilla and buttermilk. Beat for 2 minutes, using an electric mixer on medium speed. The batter will be thin. Pour the mixture into prepared pans.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F, or until toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
Cool the cake for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove from pan and transfer on wire rack to cool completely.
Frost and fill as desired.
